Things Changed

Yesterday was kind of bad day due to lot of changes for the holidays. It is very worrysome that I am really worried about them, my brother and his family are not coming up for reason of my niece's illness, she got pneumonia. I understand about that because I have experience with pneumonia few times myself that last time when I was a kid that I got it so badly that I had to go into the hospital for 3 days stay until my doctor decide to relased me from the hospital that I wasn't recovering very well, that I recover very well at home.

I thought it is better for them not to come anyway and for my niece to recover at home nicely, Plus my baby nephew have bad cold and a ear infection poor little guy. My brother and my sister in law are not feeling well, they are being stressed out and very exhausted with sick kids. I hope they will have good Christmas beside having sick family. I hope their recovery move smooth, not so rough.

I am so glad that I am done with family christmas presents. I am shipping christmas presents to my brother not a problem. I am not sure of the plan for christmas since my brother and family aren't coming. I am not sure if I am going to my oldest sister or have them come up who knows.

Recovery from Hurricane Sandy is very long progressing. We are trying to raise money for the Sandy Relief.

Tree need to be done. Shopping have start.

I got the real tree 2 days ago finally, lights that I put on the tree didn't work so I had to go out get some new lights. one string of lights that goes on the top of the tree is missing, need to go out get more ugh.. Hope to get the tree done tonight. It turn out I am now allergic to all real fir trees now as I had trouble with my allergy yesterday, it is not bad today but still suffering with it.

I finished with my oldest nephew and my brother in law yesterday when I went shopping. Hope to get the 5 girls and mom in my family done soon. Also get my brother and my father books as I still plan to get for them. Already got my littlest nephew done last month. I hope to go shopping again next week for them.

I am having quiet day today with all the housework I am doing like doing laundry and get the bathtub fix.

Goodbye November, Hello December

Wow December have arrived. Soon it will be goodbye year 2012 and hello year 2013.
I have just barely start on my christmas shopping.

this year as it will be different for Sandy victims that things have changed since then. The recovery from Sandy is still going and slowly, it takes time to recover from Sandy. Recently mystery man gave money to Sandy victims, it was really sweet of him to do that. We are trying to raise more money to repair stuffs that were damaged from Sandy.

I have decorate my house with Christmas stuffs. Will get the tree soon, I was supposed to get it today but I have conficted plans but hope I will get the tree.

Sandy tree lighted up in NYC

The Norway Spruce that survived Hurricane Sandy when Sandy came ashore a month ago today (11/29/12) lighted up in NYC in a lighting ceremony for the traditional christmas holiday. The tree is truly a survivor. It was unbelieveable that the tree had survived. The tree is a 80 foot tall.

I wish I was in NYC to be at the tree lighting ceremony and see the Sandy Tree as I call it.  I always wanted to visit NYC again. 

                    

Last week of November

I can't believe this week is last week of November before next week as it will be first week of December as December 1st is on Saturday. I felt so good of going shopping today (11/26). Got fabrics for my new projects, even ribbons for hangings.

I  got my dog Pappy christmas presents a new bed and one new toy a toy bone with red and white. Pappy like the new bed as he is sleeping in it.

Recovery from Sandy is still progressing slowly as it is nearly a month since the Hurricane hit the East Coast, Sandy cost NY 32 billion dollars in damages and loss. Even NY and New Jersey put 71 billion price tag on Hurricane Sandy of the damages and loss.

My Thanksgiving from last week was good and felt good being with my family a little bit but not so bad. My sister and I did talk about fashions and shoes.

2 birthdays

2 birthdays in 2 days..
Today is my 2nd niece birthday she is 7 today. Tomorrow is my brother's birthday. I have too many birthdays this month of November ugh, heh.

Recovery from Sandy is still going slowly. NYC got partly power back on. Hurricane Sandy cause lot of damages and there are lot of repairs and rebuilding on things like Jersey Shore, as Jersey Shore are gone. Hurricane Sandy had raked #2 as Hurricane Katrina is still raked #1 of billions of damages and human loss.

I am beginning of doing Christmas shopping, my first gift I got for my baby nephew. I found few things for my brother, my brother in law and my father, hope to get it later this month. last weekend I found things I wanted for Christmas hopefully that I would get them, if not I will get them after Christmas.

November is here

Wow November is here and in few weeks it will be Thanksgiving. I don't really celebrate holidays as I know that yesterday was Halloween but I am nice enough to give out candies to treaters. My review of celebrating holidays have change in years, that I have no one to celebrate with.

Recovery of Hurricane Sandy have begin but very slowly, it will be months until we go back where we were before Sandy hit the east coast. I have see all the pictures of the damages cause by Sandy were terrible. I am sure there is some of billion of dollars of damages. But not sure exactly how much. The East Coast won't be same.
